Increasing Social Work’s Stake in Interprofessional Practice

Integrated behavioral healthcare is becoming increasingly important and central to social work practice as the field shifts from a solely disease model of health more holistic approach. Researchers have also noted need for studies demonstrating effective models incorporating integrated training into schools work. Studies that demonstrate effects potential provide legitimacy these programs, an step in furthering their adoption within United States abroad. The program described here was designed increase number MSW workers who trauma-informed, culturally relevant, evidence-based prevention intervention practices at settings. This study used pre- post-survey design with non-participating students control group. Findings indicate significant increases knowledge, skills, attitudes participants. A recommendation further research explore what extent graduates transfer enhanced knowledge workplace.
